Hi, I'm Johanna 'Joh' Knyn
Psychologist · Author · Supervisor · Speaker
Helping professionals understand & support complex trauma & dissociative identities.

My Approach
At the heart of my work is a belief that healing happens through understanding and respect. I see psychology not as a set of interventions, but as a process of curiosity, collaboration & connection. Whether I’m supervising a colleague, facilitating a workshop, or writing a book, my aim is to make complex ideas feel accessible, and to honour the lived experience behind them.
Over the past decade, I’ve worked almost exclusively with individuals living with dissociative identities & complex trauma. This focus has shaped the way I understand the human mind - as adaptive, creative, and always doing its best to survive. My work draws on evidence-based practice while honouring the lived experience and wisdom of the people I work alongside.
This philosophy underpins everything I offer, from clinical supervision and professional training to writing, workshops & speaking engagements. Across these spaces, my goal is the same: to help others feel more confident, connected, and capable in supporting people with complex trauma & dissociative identities.
Workshops, trainings & immersive learning experiences for clinicians & organisations.
For psychologists & allied health professionals seeking neuro-affirming, trauma-informed guidance.
Books, e-books & practical tools to support your professional growth.
